NATIONAL SPELLING BEE TO BE CONDUCKTED IN KNOXVILLE, PARTISAPANTS NEEDED
Think you’re a good speller? Did you know there’s a national competition coming to Knoxville where you can test your skills?
The National Senior Spelling Bee will be held in Knoxville July 12 and it needs participants.
It’s open to anyone 50 and older.
The bee has been held in Cheyenne, Wyoming for the past 18 years.
Organizers say it started as a small competition and grew into a national bee for seniors.
But the town says it can’t do it anymore so the founders are moving it Knoxville.
Oh, did we mention first place gets $1,000?
