Numerous people are dead and injured after a mass shooting at a south Florida high school Wednesday, officials said.

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office said there are at least 14 people who have been taken to area hospitals with varying wounds. It’s unclear how many of those were injured or killed.

The gunman, who is a former student, was taken into custody nearly two hours after the shooting was reported, authorities said.

Authorities and SWAT officers are still clearing the school and say it is not safe, Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel said at a news conference.   FULL STORY HERE
