According to the Crossville Chronicle, a man set fire to a residence this morning around 9 am and then barricaded himself inside. The house is on Short Road off East First Street.  When emergency personnel arrived a woman and children were fleeing from the burning residence.  The fire was put out by firemen. The man inside was located and unconscious. He was taken to Cumberland Medical Center in serious condition suffering from smoke inhalation. Investigators are on the scene. No identities have been released as of now
