Thursday morning, Crossville police were dispatched to an area of Myrtle Avenue near CCHS for a report of a man in a black jacket and tan pants approaching the high school, defecating while kids were walking to school.

Police met up with the subject in question, identified as 46-year-old Jeremy Wade  Hale of Crossville. As officers got out of their patrol vehicle, they reported Hale spontaneously uttered, “A dog made me laugh so hard, I took a [crap] down there.”

Police noted Hale had feces on his hands and the area of his right pants pocket.

Hale was arrested for indecent exposure and placed under $500 bond. He’s due in court June 3.
