JETS/BLEDSOE CO GAME DELAYED DUE TO 108 DEGREE HEAT INDEX- JETS AND PANTHERS LOSE SEASON OPENER

local_sports_stopimgThe Stone Memorial High School Panthers traveled to Livingston Academy to take on the Wildcats in game number one of the football season. The Wildcats had a 14 point lead at the half and went on to post a 34-7 win. SMHS will be on the road for game number two as heading to  DeKalb County to play the Tigers on Friday, August 29th.

The Cumberland County High School Jets game at Bledsoe County Friday was delayed 30-minutes at the start due to a heat index reading of 108 degrees. When the game began the Warriors scored on their first two possessions and took advantage of eight CCHS turnovers rolling to a 47-0 victory. CCHS will play their first home game of the season Friday, August 29th, as they host the Highlanders of Scott High.
