Ficosa North America will officially be welcomed to Putnam County and the city of Cookeville next week.

The county, city, and chamber of commerce have announced a ground breaking event at the Highlands Business Park Tuesday June 9th beginning at 10:30 AM.

Ficosa announced plans last week to build a new 270,000 square foot, $58 million manufacturing facility in Putnam County.

That state-of-the-art facility will be located on lot B of the Highlands Business park.

Ficosa is a Barcelona-based automotive supplier of mirror assemblies for Nissan, Ford, Volkswagen, Fiat Chrysler, General Motors and other auto manufacturers. The company has already started pre-production of the new facility and expects to begin limited production from the new factory in mid-2016.
