Crossville City Hall flags are flying at half-staff in memory of former City Councilman Wendell Kerley who has passed away at 80.  Mr. Kerley served on the Council from 1998 till 2000.  He was also a long-time Crossville businessman owning and managing Strings and Things, a local music store on Main Street.  Mr. Kerley is the grandfather of former Councilman Jesse Kerley and the father of Jerry Kerley – Administrator of the City of Crossville Water Department.  A private family service will be held for Mr. Kerley.
