FIRE TAKES OUT FOUR BUSINESSES IN DOWNTOWN SPARTA TUESDAY NIGHT

6018158_G6022861_GFirefighters converged from all over White County Tuesday night to battle a building blaze. As many as four businesses went up in the fire on the 200 block of West Bockman Way at 9 p.m. Tuesday. No injuries are reported. Ten districts responded to the fire, according to the Sparta Fire Department. They say it is one of the older buildings in town, built in 1946. The fire is under investigation. Fire investigators will be back out this morning. One of the businesses affected, Riverbank Books, has posted on their Facebook page, “temporarily closed.”
