Fentress County Sheriff Chucky Cravens resigned today amid an investigation from the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. An official statement is expected to be released at a later time. Cravens is a lifetime resident of Fentress County and was a former sheriff and police officer before being reelected in 2014. FBI and TBI agents seized multiple computer files, records and Cravens’ truck. Right now, the FBI will only say it is investigating allegations of impropriety.
