FAMILY MOVES TO CROSSVILLE ONLY TO FIND THEIR HOME TOTALLY DESTROYED BY VANDALS

A New Jersey family who decided to move to Crossville after the father lost his job in October is devastated.  The Collet family, consisting of mother, father and an 8-year-old daughter, had purchased a home on Turkey Blind Road a few years back as a possible retirement home.   Mr. Collet was laid off from his job of 15 years as nursing home administrator in New Jersey in October of this year.  Since they owned a house and property in Crossville and it was paid for, the family decided to pack up and move to Crossville for a fresh start.  When they arrived at their home in November – they couldn’t believe their eyes.  The whole house had been vandalized and every thing that was worth anything ripped out and stolen.  All appliances had been stolen, the heating and air units ripped out, the house wiring was ripped out.  Even the electric meter had been ripped off.  All the walls and ceilings had been destroyed as well.  A report was filed with the Sheriff’s office.  Currently, the Collets are forced to live in hotels while the father and a son up from Florida is working to restore the home to livable conditions.  Meanwhile, the family is struggling and are seeking help from anyone who can help.  They’ve created a gofundme account.
