NO EBOLA IN TENNESSEE

635500322741000108-ebolaMany  have asked if there is an Ebola case in Knoxville. The answer is no.

The Knox County Health Department is staying in communication with someone who recently visited West Africa. They are doing this because of requirements put in place by the Centers for Disease Control which requires travelers who’ve been to Liberia, Sierra Leone, or Guinea to be monitored.

The health department tells us that person will check in with them daily and take their temperature twice a day. They have asked that person not to use public transportation and to notify the health department if they leave our area.   Rumors are running rampant among social media saying ebola is being discovered in different locations.  The CDC website reports only three confirmed cases of ebola in the U.S have been diagnosed.
