CUMBERLAND COUNTY YOUTH HELPING FAMILIES IN NEED WITH THANKSGIVING MEALS (CUMB. CO SO)

FROM CUMBERLAND COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT:

Cumberland County youth are showing what the true meaning of Thanksgiving is truly about. Mackenzie Parker and Cody Parker, accompanied by their grandpa, came to the Sheriff’s Office with a request for assistance from Sheriff Casey Cox. They were looking for ten (10) families that were truly in need that they could bless with a Thanksgiving meal. The idea sparked with Mackenzie’s desire to show how thankful she was by helping other folks in the community. Her brother, Cody, helps her pack and deliver the meals. Their grandpa supports them with their good deed of helping others.

Sheriff Cox stated, “This young girl and boy truly displayed the meaning of Thanksgiving by caring for others. It is awesome to see young people that care for others and want to help them in a time of need”. Sheriff Cox presented them with Sheriff’s Office coins and lapel pins.
