Local news outlets are reporting that Cumberland County Mayor Kenneth Carey Jr. is not going to seek re-election.  According to the report, Mayor Carey told a group today that he had decided not to seek another term and was proud of the accomplishments the county had achieved during his watch and knew the county was in better shape than when he took office in 2010.   The County Mayor’s election is not until next August’s General Election.
