Local media reports a Crossville man is facing a warrant for his arrest following a brutal attack of a woman. According to the report from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the emergency room of Cumberland Medical Center where the victim told them that 49-year-old Donald Caswell of Crossville got into a physical altercation with her at a Vandever Road residence. The report states that Caswell threw the victim down to the floor then cut her throat with a piece of a broken plate. The victim told officers that Caswell reportedly attacked her twice before, once leaving her with broken ribs. The victim was treated for a severe throat laceration. A warrant for aggravated assault was taken out for Caswell.
