CROSSVILLE MAYORAL CANDIDATE DEBATE SET FOR MONDAY SEPTEMBER 15TH

crossville-city-sealCrossville voters and interested persons will have an opportunity to meet and listen to candidates for mayor and council for the city of Crossville during a candidates night at the Palace Theatre to be held Sept. 15 at 6 p.m.

The event is being sponsored by the Crossville Business and Professional Women’s Club.  Incumbent Mayor J.H. Graham III and challenger James Mayberry will be introduced as candidates seeking election to serve as the city’s mayor for the next four years. The two have agreed to debate on stage.   Each will be given two minutes to respond to questions pertaining to city issues which have been submitted.  Tony Perry will serve as moderator of the debate which will be broadcast live on 105.7 The Hog radio station with a live-stream link on Crossville News First news page.

There are five candidates from which to choose for two seats on the city council. Incumbents seeking reelection are George Marlow and Danny Wyatt. Challengers are Pam Harris, Kyle Davis and Terry White.

These five will introduce themselves and tell how they can serve Crossville and why they seek the office. Voters may mark their ballot to vote for two in the upcoming November election. Terms are for four years.

The two elected will join Councilmembers Pete Sousa, Jesse Kerley and the person elected to serve as mayor.

The terms of Kerley and Sousa will expire in two years.
