Cumberland County Deputies were in high-speed chase this morning around 7am of a stolen mustang on highway 70 East near Rowell’s Apple House.

The driver of the Mustang lost control of the car, ran off the highway through five fences and ran over three cows in the field.  Two of the cows had to be put down and possibly the third. The driver jumped out of the Mustang and took off running into the woods.  K-9 units lost the scent heading north toward I-40
