CARTOON CHANNEL GOES PORN IN NASHVILLE, BRIEFLY

cartoon pornComcast Area Vice President John Gauder apologized for racy programming that mistakenly aired Thursday morning on Cartoon Network.

For at least an hour viewers saw pornography.

Wallace Loveless of Antioch said his wife saw it between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. Thursday.  They are worried about children seeing adult material.

“We have a 5-year-old grandson and his favorite channel is the Cartoon Network,” Loveless said. “What if Christopher had of seen that?”

He and his wife plan to file a complaint and monitor programming on the channel when children are present.

Comcast acknowledged that a subscription movie channel was shown on multiple cable channels.

The cable provider is investigating the matter.

“We sincerely regret and apologize to our customers for the service interruption and any inconvenience this has caused,” according to a statement issued Thursday.

Company officials said the problem has been corrected and full service restored.
