ALERT: MORGAN AND ROANE CO AUTHORITIES SEARCHING FOR TWO ELDERLY MEN, SEPARATE CASES

The Roane County Sheriff’s Department issued a Silver Alert today for an 84-year-old man who may be traveling to Florida.

Clarence Sampson left his credit cards with a dog groomer and asked them not to call his wife for 15 minutes. He is believed to have a golden Chihuahua with him.

He has several medical conditions but doesn’t have his medication or cell phone with him.

Sampson is driving a blue 2003 Chevrolet Tracker with Tennessee tag SV0378.

Also the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in locating a missing senior citizen. Yesterday, 78-year-old William Braun, walked away from his home in the Deer Lodge community saying that he was walking to New York. As far as authorities know, there has been no mental status change. His family is concerned for his welfare because of the heat and his unexpected decision to leave. Braun was last seen today (Friday, September 7, 2018) walking at the 317 Exit on I-40 in Crossville after a motorists dropped him off. Braun is a Caucasian male wearing blue jeans, white t-shirt and a hat. A picture of Braun was not initially available by authorities.
