ALERT: MORE ROCKS BEING THROWN FROM I-40 OVERPASSES IN ROANE COUNTY

The number has grown to fifteen incidents of rocks being thrown off over passes on I-40 in Roane County and the Tennessee Highway Patrol is working to find out who’s responsible before someone is seriously hurt or killed

In the latest incidents, officers say the rocks are being thrown from an overpass in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 40 at the 362 and 366 mile markers.

This is identical to two vehicles being damaged from objects thrown off an overpass on I-40 just west of the Rockwood/Harriman exits.

Troopers are asking motorists using I-40 in Roane County between the 344 and 366 mile markers to be extra careful and watchful for any suspicious activity on overpasses. If you see someone throwing an object off of an overpass, call 911 immediately.
