AFTERMATH OF MASSIVE HOUSE EXPLOSION AND FIRE MONDAY NIGHT (PICS & FUND RAISER)

A natural gas leak is believed to be the cause of a large explosion and subsequent house fire Monday evening around 8:30.  The explosion was heard and/or felt for more than 10 miles from the home in the county. The residence on Roma Drive in Foxfire subdivision belonged to Jay and Tonya Colton.  Mr. Colton was taken to Vanderbilt Medical Center with second and third degree burns listed in serious condition.  Two other members of the household escaped without injury.  The cause of the gas explosion is under investigation by the Cumberland County Fire Department and the Tennessee Fire Marshall’s office. A gofundme account has been set up to help the family who lost most everything they owned in the fire.  CLICK HERE FOR THE GOFUNDME
