18 YEAR OLD PEYTON MANNING ARRESTED ON DRUG CHARGES AFTER ‘SHE’ WAS STOPPED BY NASHVILLE POLICE

A traffic stop turned into a drug bust in south Nashville Sunday night after police found evidence of cocaine in a cup of Coca-Cola. And then things got sticky.

According to an affidavit, police pulled over a woman identified as Peyton Manning and Kenneth Sowards on Elm Hill Pike near Briley Parkway because their high beams were on in traffic.

Manning, 18, was behind the wheel while Sowards, who owns the vehicle, was in the passenger seat, police said.

Officers noticed a marijuana odor coming from the car and Sowards gave verbal permission for police to search it.

The affidavit states two plastic baggies with a white powdery substance inside were found floating in a cup of Coca-Cola sitting in the console. It field tested positive for cocaine.

In the back of the vehicle police found containers of marijuana, a digital scale, and a pill crusher.

Word spread quickly that ‘Peyton Manning” had been arrested in the area after citizens heard the police scanner and dispatch returned the identity of the ‘woman’ stopped.

Manning’s bond has been set at $20,000 and Sowards’ was set at $30,000.

Both of them are due in court on Thursday.
